Yes, it is Brown’s gas. Note that we do not run the van solely on Brown’s gas. We use it as a supplemental fuel. This means that the main fuel, diesel in our case, burns as usual which causes Brown’s gas to burn at the same time. Note that compared to the massive air in the air induction hose, the Brown’s gas content is very small as we are not producing a lot of Brown gas. Because of the nature of Brown’s gas you mentioned, the presence of Brown’s gas in its compression form actually helps us as it delays the combustion timing of diesel, which is like increasing the octane rating of the fuel. Even it does not burn by itself, it should burn instantly when the fuel (gas or diesel) is burning.
I just bought a square wave generator (has not arrved yet) to supply power to the HHO generator – this should produce more of the ortho-hydrogen which burns better than para-hydrogen (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen). Do not know if I should use it or not – will test to see if it helps or reduce the benefit.
